British Sign Language Learning Support Assistant

We have partnered with a lovely secondary school in Middlesbrough that is looking for a graduate who has a BSL level 1 award. As a high-achieving inclusive school, it prides itself on offering the best education to all learners.

As a British Sign Language Learning Support Assistant, you'll be supporting students within the school's specialist deaf and hearing impairment provision.

Through this role, you'll be providing personalised support to ensure students with these needs can excel and have a memorable school experience.

During this role, you'll get hands-on experience that will allow you to consider if teaching is the next step in your career. Experienced teachers will guide you throughout your time within the school and will support you when needed. As Teaching Assistant you'll work with young people aged 11-16 from day one. Your days will vary and I'm confident you'll learn something new each day. This is an extremely rewarding role; it can be challenging at times however its positives definitely outweigh the challenges.
