Step Into Teaching are looking for graduate learning support assistants for a fantastic SEN school in Dursley offering a full time role starting in September for the 24/25 academic year.

The role is to supporting in the classroom with all students including those with Special Educational Needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is looking to gain experience before becoming an educational psychologist/SENCO.

The Opportunity:

• Graduate Learning Support Assistant
• Aspiring educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
• 1:1 & Small Group work
• To work in one secondary school for the full 24/25 academic year.
• Dursley SEN School  - GL11
• Full-time role – Monday - Friday
• ASAP and September  starts available - for 24/25 academic year
• £450 - £490 per week - term time only

Key Responsibilities:

• Working alongside the class teacher to support children who need support in the classroom.
• Supporting children with an EHCP alongside the SEN team
• Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
• Planning and resourcing intervention sessions
• Working alongside other professionals to assess children
• Supporting children pastorally to enable them to feel safe and secure both at school and at home.
