Step into Teaching have partnered with a superb primary school in Greenwich, who are pursuing graduates for this academic year to start ASAP. This wonderful opportunity will provide you with first-hand classroom experience as a teaching assistant. Our partnership schools are looking for enthusiastic learners who are looking to develop their own skills, as well as the skills of their students. Our schools provide training on the job, and have fantastic leadership teams who are willing to support you during your time with them.

The Opportunity:

Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant in Greenwich

Full-time role (Monday to Friday)

£515- £530  per week (Term Time only)

Chance to gain classroom experience and build your confidence before teacher training

Work with children from a variety of backgrounds

The successful Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant must:

Have a degree grade (2:2 or above)

Have strong subject knowledge within English Maths and Science (GCSE A* - C)

Be passionate about supporting children with their learning

The ability to keep children engaged and motivated

Be enthusiastic, friendly and confident

Be able to commit for the academic year

Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Have strong communication skills

Have good behaviour management skills

A commitment to helping children reach their full potential

You will be working with classroom teachers across KS1 & KS2 to help support children's learning in addition to providing a safe and inclusive environment where all children's needs are established and valued. Additionally, you will lead both 1:1 and small groups outside the classroom to give that extra support to children who are both struggling and overachieving in the classroom to help them reach their full potential.
