SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant EYFS/KS1

This role is working within a lovely primary school in Middlesbrough and is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn as much as possible while gaining experience in a highly supportive environment.

The students you will be supporting will be ages 2 – 7 (EYFS – KS1) and will have significant and complex needs including special education needs and disabilities (SEN) as well as social-emotional mental health needs (SEMH). The support you'll give will play an essential role in ensuring these children can thrive and have a memorable school experience.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Hold a completed bachelor's degree (minimum 2:2)
  • Eager to learn new things and help others
  • Comfortable with providing SEMH support as well as personal care
  • Able to build positive relationships with children from a range of backgrounds
  • An empathetic individual with a 'can do' mindset
  • Have a good knowledge or experience in working with children who have SEN/SEMH needs (ideal but not essential)
